Ridolfo Ghirlandaio

Ridolfo Ghirlandaio ( born February 4, 1483 Florence, † January 6, 1561 ) was an Italian painter of the Florentine school.

Ridolfo Ghirlandaio, Domenico Ghirlandaio's son, was at first his father's pupil, then his uncle Davide Ghirlandaio Bigordi and probably by Francesco Granacci. The maturity of his style, he reached but only under the direction of Fra Bartolommeo, what later came the influence of Raphael, with whom he was friends.

Ridolfo Ghirlandaio died on June 6, 1561 at the age of 78 years in Florence.
