Ried fan de Fryske Beweging

The Ried fan de Fryske Beweging ( RfdFB ) ( German: Council of the Frisian Movement) is an organization dedicated to the preservation of the Frisian language and culture in Friesland, Netherlands. The fully independent Council is a foundation of currently twelve independent Frisian organizations. These include the western section of the Frisian Council ( Fryske Rie ) and the Unterstürzerverein the Frisian broadcasting freons Omrop fan Fryslân, but also associations of the other regional languages ​​of Friesland ( Bildt, Stellingwerfs ). The Foundation was established in 1945. From 1990 to 1997 she published the magazine Mear oer Fryske taal en Kultür. Since 2000, the magazine Swingel appears.

In addition to the twelve associations representing a total of about 12,000 people, including about 500 supporting individual members are affiliated to the Ried. The eponymous Ratsversammling is composed of representatives of organizations and several individual supporters.
