Geography

Vineyards located in the Allgäu region. The parish includes the hamlets of Zellerberg and the homonymous district vineyards.

History

The first mention of vineyards dates back to 1242. Vineyards belonged to the Imperial Abbey Irsee. Honorius Grieninger, abbot from 1784 to 1802, built the castle in 1793 vineyards. During his reign, vineyards was independent parish again. With the Imperial Diet of 1803 the city became part of Bavaria. As part of the administrative reform in Bavaria was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
