Vineyards is a municipality in the Upper Palatinate district of Amberg -Sulzbach, consisting of the market vineyards and the formerly independent municipality Vilshofen.

Geography

Geographical Location

Vineyards located in the Upper Palatinate region north along the lower reaches of the northern Vils ( next to the left tributary of the Lech and the right tributary of the Danube and you waters above the Danube ultimately ends in the Black Sea ), approximately 18 km from its mouth into the Naab at Kallmunz. Approximately 1.5 km from the southwestern boundary of the municipality begins the training area Hohenfels.

History

The market vineyards was before 1800 and belonged to Pflegamt Rentamt Amberg of the Electorate of Bavaria. Vineyards had market rights with important self- rights. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the predecessor of the same congregation of the church today. 1945/46, were part of the municipality of victory Mayrhofen incorporated by vineyards.

Incorporations

Today's church was established on 1 January 1971 by merging the municipalities Vilshofen and vineyards.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in manufacturing and 191 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 1041. In manufacturing, there was no, in the construction of two plants.
