Riegelmine 43

The bolt 43 Mine was an anti-tank mine in the Wehrmacht during World War II.

History

Latches Mine 43 was introduced in 1943 as an anti-tank mine in the Wehrmacht. By the end of World War II about three million units were produced. She was a replica of the Italian bolt Mine B-2.

Operation

The mine was placed face-down or open, triggered by pressure on the pressure plate on the entire lid. To trigger the mine a load of 200 kg on the sides and 400 kg in the middle was necessary. As the igniter Zugzünder ZZ 35, 35 or ZZ ZuZZ 42 were used. Two other Zugzünder in each side of the mine were responsible for the recovery backup.
