Riem Arcaden

The Riem Arcades are the third largest shopping center in Munich to the Olympia shopping center and the shopping center Neuperlach. They were built to a design of the office Allmann Sattler Steelers in the Riem district at Willy- Brandt-Platz and opened in 2004.

On three floors and 46,500 m² of retail space, the well-known large chain stores are represented in about 120 stores.

On the upper floor a few cafes are surrounded by shops like Hugendubel, Depot, Müller, Zara and SinnLeffers, some of which extend to the ground floor. In the middle part of the ground floor, some restaurant chains such as McDonald's and North Sea, but also normal restaurants are represented. On the lower floor, in addition to many smaller shops and stores of Saturn, Fielmann, Edeka ( with post office ) and C & A.

The Riem Arcades also includes a parking garage with 2,600 parking spaces, 30,000 m² of office space, 62 apartments and a hotel with 250 rooms.

The plans for an originally planned multiplex cinema with 3,000 seats have since been discarded. At this hitherto kept free surface at the western end of the Willy -Brandt -Platz is now an office building with no public use is to be built.

The Riem Arcades the specificity is added that in 1999 the newly built district Riem exhibition grounds outside the shopping center no shops or supermarkets have been built or planned.
