Riesel is a city in McLennan County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States. Your name, the city of W. H. Riesel, one of the many Germans who settled in the area and built there around 1880 a cotton gin.

The city is located about 20 km south-east of Waco in the southeast of the county and has a total area of 10.3 km ² without significant water surface.
