After the death of his wife he entered 662 in the Benedictine monastery of Villers skin, but later went to the monastery Rebais ( Rebascum ) in the diocese of Meaux. 672 or 673 he succeeded his relatives, of St.. Nivard, as 26th Bishop of Reims. He donated to the monastery Orbais 680 ( Dorbacense monasterium ), near Epernay in the Champagne region in northern France, of which he summoned monks from Rebais, took 689 at the Council in Rouen under the hl. Ansbert part of Rouen, died in 698 and was canonized later. His relics are in Orbais.
