Riga Mustapha

Rahamat Riga Mustapha ( born September 11, 1978 in Accra, Ghana) is a Dutch footballer who is currently with the Spanish second division side FC Cartagena under contract. He is often called shortly "Riga". He can play both on the wing and in the storm.

The native Ghanaian Riga Mustapha, who also has a Dutch passport, started his career as a football player at Vitesse Arnhem, where he, during which he stood in the five years there under contract, could not prevail. In the 2000/2001 season he was loaned to RBC Roosendaal. In 2003 he left Roda yet and signed with Sparta Rotterdam, where he took up again in 2005 to form. Between 2005 and 2008 he played in the Spanish top flight for Levante UD.

After the descent of the former Levante UD U-21 national team of the Netherlands signed for season 2008/ 09 a new contract with the English first division club Bolton Wanderers. The obligation of the player competes rapid wing was officially released on August 1, 2008. A day later, he was already in a friendly match against Chorley FC. His debut in the Premier League he was 23 August 2008 against Newcastle United. He came off the bench in 85 minutes.

In January 2011, his expiring contract was not renewed with the Bolton Wanderers. In March the same year, the Dutch signed a contract with FC Cartagena.
