Rima San Giuseppe
Rima San Giuseppe (the upper district Rima Arimmu in the Walser dialect) is a town with 66 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Vercelli (VC ), Region Piedmont.
Location and data
Until the 20th century, now only inhabited in the summer the district Rima Walser German was in the upper spoken.
The neighboring municipalities are Alagna, Boccioleto, Carcoforo, Macugnaga, Mollia, Rimasco and Riva Valdobbia. The municipality of Rima San Giuseppe earlier consisted of two independent communities, and Rima San Giuseppe.
The town is located 89 km from the provincial capital Vercelli at an altitude of 975 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 35.42 km ².
Attractions
In Rima San Giuseppe, there is a museum (Casa del marmo, or Museo del Marmo Artificiale ) with an exhibition of imitation marble. It is real marble deceptively similar outer plaster work, for which the population of the valley was once famous and brought them to Germany.
