Rímac District

Rimac is a district in the province of Lima, Peru. It is located north of the district Cercado de Lima is connected to the Rímac by six bridges over the river Rimac. Rímac also borders the districts of Independencia, San Martín de Porres and San Juan de Lurigancho. The remains of the Peruvian colonial climax, the " historical center of Lima ", are the Rímac District, which is under the UNESCO World Heritage since 1988.
