The Rimowa GmbH (" Richard Morszeck Trademarks"), headquartered in Cologne is a manufacturer of suitcases made ​​of aluminum and polycarbonate.

History

Richard Morszeck and his father Paul was a suitcase factory in which burned all the classic case materials in a fire. This left only the inventories of aluminum. Richard Morszeck subsequently developed 1937 first travel case made of aluminum, which combined the features of light weight and high stability in itself. In 1950, the first case with the typical groove structure until today.

Today Rimowa luggage also produces alongside classic aluminum case made of polycarbonate, always with the typical groove structure.
