Ring Tone Text Transfer Language ( RTTTL ) or Nokring is a common format for ring tones for mobile phones.

Technical details

A ringtone in RTTTL / Nokring format must include these three components in order to be recognized by ringtone programs: the name, the default settings and the notes.
