Rio Purus titi

The Rio Purus titi ( Callicebus purinus ) is a primate of the species of titi monkeys within the family of Sakiaffen ( Pitheciidae ). He was regarded until recently as a subspecies of Collared Titi Monkey.

Features

Rio Purus titi monkeys are like all titi monkeys relatively small primate with thick long coat and a bushy tail, which is longer than the body and can not be used as a prehensile tail. Rio Purus titi monkeys are found in Brazil only in the western Amazon basin. Way of life
