Río Senguer Department

The department Río Senguer located in the southwest of the province of Chubut in southern Argentina and is one of the 15 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered on the north by the departments Tehuelches and Paso de Indios, on the east by the department of Sarmiento, on the south by the province of Santa Cruz and to the west by Chile.

The capital of the department of Río Alto Río Senguer is Senguer.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population grew from 6,194 inhabitants (2001) to 8,110 inhabitants in 2005.
