Rio Tinto is a comune ( Freguesia ) and a city in Portugal. It is a north-eastern suburb of Porto and is located in Gondomar county in the district of Porto. Rio Tinto has a community area of ​​9.4 km ² and 50 762 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2011).
