Rip Sewell

Truett Banks " Rip " Sewell (May 11, 1907 in Decatur, Alabama, † September 3, 1989 in Plant City, Florida) was an American baseball player. In his career he played for the Detroit Tigers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is the inventor of the so-called Eephus pitch.
