Ripmen

The Ripmen is a German psychobilly band in 1996 by Kubi (double bass), Rakow (guitar) and Wachi (drums) was founded.

History

After initial difficulties first concerts were played in the Berlin area and it should demo recordings are made. That did not happen, since the end of 1999 fatal accident Wachi. Three months later, the drums were filled by Gordian and the demo CD With Love from Beyond was still recorded. Made aware of this demo, Crazy Love Records decided to release a full album. The album Party with the Dead appeared in 2001 and has received consistently good reviews.

The band toured now propagated and wrote the songs for the second album Terror of the Beagle Boys, which also appeared in 2003 on Crazy Love Records. With the new album in the band Luggage betourte the first time in 2003, the West Coast of the United States. 2004 was followed by a second tour, but was for professional reasons without Rakow. He was replaced by the guitarist of the American band " Dragstrip Demons". In 2005 the third album should be included, whose recordings but due to internal problems deported back to the year 2006.

Rakow left the band and was shortly replaced by guitarist Dennis, but he was only five concerts with the band as a whole. The album Graveyard in our Memories was released in 2006 on the German punk label Wolverine Records and Rakow returned after almost one and a half years in the band. Since the band at this time, long time nothing has let hear new recordings should be made. This was made easier by a qualified in the Senate rock contest in Berlin. About half a year has been working hard on new material, which was recorded in October 2007. Shortly after the recording, the band split of Gordian, which led to a setback again. Gordian was replaced in May 2008 by Heske spontaneously.
