Ripollès

The Comarca Ripollès located in the province of Girona of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia (Spain). The community association has an area of ​​956.2 km ² and 26,821 inhabitants (2009 ).

Location

The community association is located in the northeast of Catalonia, 75 km northwest of the provincial capital of Girona. It is bordered to the north by France, on the east by the comarca of Garrotxa, in the south and to the west Osona Berguedà and Cerdanya. Together with the Comarcas Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà, Garrotxa, Gironès, Pla de l' Estany and Selva is the region 's territory Comarques giro ines.
