The Rißbach is an approximately 26 km long wild river in Tyrol and Upper Bavaria, who flows through the Rißtal.

It has its origin at the confluence of several streams in the source Enger reason of the nature park Hinterriß -Eng in the Karwendel mountains in Tirol. A few kilometers north of Hinterriß crossing the wild river, the border to Bavaria and flows Vorderriß near the Sylvensteinstausees in the Isar. To increase the amount of water available for the Walchenseekraftwerk, the water of Rißbach is derived since 1951 above the mouth of the Isar by about seven kilometers long Rißbachstollen in the Walchensee.

The Rißbach is one of the most popular whitewater Bavaria for whitewater sports.
