Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University

The Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japanese立命館 アジア 太平洋 大学Ritsumeikan Ajia Taiheiyo Daigaku ) is a private university in Oita, Japan. It was founded in April 2000 through the collaboration of various public and private stakeholders, in particular the Oita Prefecture, the city of Beppu and the formation of body Ritsumeikan (学校 法人 立命 馆, Gakko Hojin Ritsumeikan ).

General

Approximately 2,900 international students from 97 nations and regions throughout the world study there currently with about 3,000 Japanese students, which makes the APU to a multicultural university. Due to its high level, the strict conditions of admission and the strong international pronounced studies in business, politics, technology, science, sociology, they already awakened in Japan a strong attention. Through guest lectures, the University continues to reinforce its practical orientation. In 2009, the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano- san, held a guest lecture series.
