Rivo Vesik

Rivo Vesik ( born July 15, 1980 in Pärnu ) is an Estonian beach volleyball player.

Career

Vesik played in 2002 in Mallorca its first international tournament with his longtime partner Kristjan Kais on. Two years later, the duo finished in 19th place at the European Championship 2004. At the World Cup in 2005 they occupied after defeats against the later bronze medalist Julius Brink and Kjell Schneider ( 1:2 ) and the new title holders Márcio Araújo and Fábio Luiz fifth place. After they were inferior at the European Championships in The Hague again a German duo ( Klemperer / Schneider ) in 2006, she repeated her World Cup results for 2007 in Gstaad. Previously, she had won the Open tournament in Zagreb. Shortly thereafter, she missed almost a medal at the European Championships in Valencia with a three-set defeat to David Klemperer and Eric Koreng.

2008 Kais / Vesik participated in the Olympic tournament in Beijing, but where they did not come through the group stage. In the 2009 World Cup they reached the knockout stages, where there was a loss to Klemperer / Koreng again. The subsequent European Championship in Sochi with the off in the first round was the last joint appearance of the Estonian duo.

Since 2010 Vesik plays with Karl Jaani. At the World Cup 2011 Vesik / Jaani subject to the defending champions Julius Brink and Jonas Recker man in the first round.
