Riwaka

Riwaka is a small town of about 849 inhabitants ( as of 2006) in the region in the north of the South Island of New Zealand Tasman. It lies on the Tasman Bay, five kilometers north of Motueka, near the mouth of the Riwaka River in the Tasman Bay. State Highway 60 passes through the city.

The former New Zealand Prime Minister Keith Holyoake lived in his youth in Riwaka.
