Rob Dougan

Rob Dougan (born 1969 in Sydney, Australia, also known as Rob D) is a London-based Australian pop musicians.

Biography

Due to its innovative style, which is best described as a mix of dance, house and classical music to describe Dougan excited with his song Clubbed to Death for The Matrix Soundtrack 1999 a great sensation. The piece is based on a theme of the orchestral work Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar and became alienated from Dougan in the style of Big Beat. Dougan played the piece already since the mid- 1990s; as the director Yolande Zauberman it before the shooting listened to its 1997 film " Clubbed to Death", she was so impressed that they used it as the theme song and the movie named for it.

Rob Dougan attended a drama school in which he was not happy in the long run, however in Australia. After moving to London to devote himself to music, he stayed first with a job as Jean seller about water, which financed his hobby: the mixing of songs. But he became one of the most sought after remixers London very quickly and mixed songs for stars like Moby or the band U2. Even as a songwriter and producer Rob Dougan has worked and collaborated among others with stars such as Kylie Minogue and the Sugababes.
