Rob Scuderi

Robert Scuderi ( born December 30, 1978 in Syosset, Long Iceland, New York ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

The 1.83 m tall defender played during his college days in the team of Boston College in the Hockey East, a league in the play mode of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. NHL Entry Draft 1998, he was finally selected as the 134 in the fifth round of the Penguins ( drafted ).

As of 2001, the shooter was left in the squad of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, a farm team of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the American Hockey League. In the 2003 / 04 season, Scuderi first acquired the leap into the NHL roster of franchises from Pittsburgh, in 13 games he scored one goal and two assists. In the following years the defender further commuted between Wilkes - Barre and Pittsburgh, since the season 2006/ 07 he has at the Penguins a place in the NHL squad. On February 2, 2008 Rob Scuderi completed against the Carolina Hurricanes his 200th career game in the highest North American professional league. In the same year he reached the final of the Pittsburgh Penguins for the Stanley Cup, the North American Hockey Championship, lost it the team but in 2:4 games against the Detroit Red Wings.

After four years with the Los Angeles Kings, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2012 his second, Scuderi returned in July 2013 to the Pittsburgh Penguins back. He signed a four-year contract worth a total of 13.5 million U.S. dollars. The average annual salary therefore amounts to 3.375 million U.S. dollars.
