Robert Ameerali

Robert Leo Anthony Ameerali ( born August 16, 1961 in Paramaribo, Suriname ) is, since August 12, 2010 Vice President of Suriname.

Life

Previous career

Ameerali graduated from the Algemene Middelbare School, comparable to that of higher education. From 1982 to 2010 he was director of the built up by his father " Hotel Ameerali " in Nieuw Nickerie -. He was also a 1988-2010 owner and director of NV Djinipi, two copies and digital printing companies in Nieuw Nickerie and Paramaribo -. From 1996 until his inauguration, he was also Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce en Fabrieken ( CCF ) in Suriname.

Election as Vice- President

Was elected Vice-President of Suriname Robert Ameerali by Parliament on 19 July 2010. The independent Ameerali was proposed by the A- Combinatie chaired by Ronnie Brunswijk for the post. The inauguration took place with President Bouterse Dési on August 12, 2010.
