Robert Copland

Robert Copland (* 1515 in Westminster, † 1547 in London ) was an English printer and poet.

Life

Perhaps Copland was an assistant William Caxton - at least he worked for Wynkyn de Worde. He has published several books and translated French knights romances. His most famous work " Hye way to the Spyttal house" ( 1536) contains an immense number of curious information about beggars and vagrants.
