Robert Coppola Schwartzman

Robert Coppola Schwartzman and Robert Schwartzman - Cage or Robert Carmine; ( Born December 24, 1982 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, singer and songwriter.

Life and career

Schwartzman is one of three children of film producer Jack Schwartzman and actress Talia Shire. He is also the brother of Jason Schwartzman ( former drummer and founding member of the band Phantom Planet), the nephew of Francis Ford Coppola, cousin of Nicolas Cage and Sofia Coppola as well as the half-brother of John Schwartzman.

In 1998, he got a small supporting role in Sofia Coppola's short film Lick the Star. A year later, this film was directed by The Virgin Suicides, here Schwartzman played the role of Paul Baldino next to well-known actors.

Among his most famous roles is one of the Michael Moscovitz in Garry Marshall's The Princess Diaries film from the year 2001. Prior to theatrical release he intended to change its name in accordance with its well-known cousin Nicolas Cage, Robert Cage. Since the advertising for the film but the press was already underway and Schwartzman already presented, he left it at that. The film's soundtrack includes the song written by him Blue Side.

In 2001 he received his degree at the Windward School in Los Angeles. Since 2002, Schwartzman retired from the film business and works as a musician with his band Rooney.
