Robert Dunham

Robert Dunham ( born July 6, 1931 in Maine; † August 6, 2001 in Sarasota, Florida ) was an American actor.

Life

Robert Dunham was born the son of Charlotte and Earl Dunham in a wealthy family. He grew up in Wellesley Hills and went to Dedham in Massachusetts to school. He then attended the Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in art history. It was followed by the military service in the United States Marine Corps. In the course of his military service he was stationed in Yokohama, Japan, where he served as a lieutenant two years. Later he took in the distance part in a language course to learn the Japanese language.

After leaving the military service itself Dunham decided to stay in Japan, and to open an own import / export business. He also starred in several commercials, as Dunham had many opportunities because he mastered the language fluently. Later he worked for the Japanese advertising, as well as the various business units, as he could speak fluent Japanese as Americans.

Among his most famous roles include, inter alia, Antonio, Emperor of the subterranean continent seatopia in King Kong - demons from outer space. Dunham lived temporarily in Japan, where he held more film tasks. He spoke fluent Japanese, worked alongside his work as an actor as well as a stuntman, he was shooting for the film above a risky scene with a motorcycle itself

Dunham lived 20 years with his wife Keiko and their two children, Barbara Ann and Daniel in Tokyo. After the separation and subsequent divorce he was associated with the model Setsuko Sázava which he also married in 1969. The couple also had two children Emiko ( Emmy ) and Marcia. Together with his family moved after Denenchofu Dunham, a suburb near Tokyo, where they lived from 1970 to 1975. After that, Dunham decided to Cape Cod, Massachusetts emigrate and so ultimately return to the United States. In its home country, he worked as a freelance writer and frequently contributed material to magazines such as Car and Driver on.
