Robert III. de La Marck

Robert III. de La Marck ( German: Robert III of the Mark; Sedan * 1492 or 1493; † December 21, 1536 in Longjumeau. ) was Marshal of France in 1526.

Robert III. was born as first son of Robert II de la Marck and his wife Catherine de Croy. Easter 1510 he married in Vigny Guillemette from Saarbruecken ( † September 20, 1571 ). The marriage was in 1512 the son of Robert IV forth.

He took part in the 1513 Battle of Novara, his father saved her life. In 1525 he was taken prisoner at the battle of Pavia. He was appointed in 1526 to the Marshal of France, and died 1537.

Over time, from 1519 to 1521, he wrote memoirs, which were published in 1753.
