Robert J. Kern

Robert Kern ( born March 29, 1885 in Iowa; † May 30, 1972 in Orange, California ) was an American editor.

Life

His career began as an editor Robert Kern in the early 1920s. The 1934 film shot in golden chains meant the first collaboration with director Clarence Brown, many other joint projects followed. Two other directors with those core were often worked WS Van Dyke and Robert Z. Leonard.

For the 1944 children's film rotated Little Girl, Big Heart Robert Kern was the following year won the Oscar. A first nomination for this award he received in 1936 for the film David Copperfield.

His last work as an editor was made in 1952 with the film Drama ship without a home, because then he sat down to rest.
