Robert Lopez

Robert " Bobby" Lopez ( born February 23, 1975) is an American film and musical composer. He was best known for the musical The Book of Mormon and Avenue Q, for which he was awarded the Tony Award with Jeff Marx.

Career

1998 Robert Lopez met the aspiring songwriter Jeff Marx. Their first work was Kermit, Prince of Denmark (English: Kermit, Prince of Denmark), a parody of Hamlet. Although the Jim Henson Company rejected the song, Marx thus won the Kleban Award.

In 1999 the two began their work on Avenue Q in which they used similar dolls, such as Sesame Street. In 2004 they received the Tony Award for Best Musical. With his brother Billy Robert Lopez then worked on several episodes of Nickelodeon's The Wonder Pets.

Only in 2007, Marx and Lopez worked for the Scrubs series together again, for they wrote four songs. Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson -Lopez also wrote for the movies Winnie the Pooh and Ralph 's enough, in the latter, their song, however, was cut out. 2013 he wrote the music for the Disney film The Ice Queen and won with " Let it go " 2014 Oscar.
