Robert Sabatier

Robert Sabatier ( born August 17, 1923 in Paris, † June 28, 2012 in Boulogne- Billancourt ) was a French writer and literary critic.

Sabatier's poetry was influenced by the Surrealists. His populist prose revolved around the lives of loners. He also wrote a multi-volume history of French poetry.

Sabatier's name was in 1969 in the list of favorites for the literature prize, the Prix Goncourt, but he did not get it. In 1971 he became a member of the award jury of the Académie Goncourt.
