Robert Sweet (botanist)

Robert Sweet (* 1783 in Cockington in Torquay, Devon ( England); † January 20, 1835 in Chelsea ( London) ) was an English botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Sweet ".

The plant genus Sweetia Spreng. from the legume family ( Fabaceae ) has been named after him.
