Robert Tobin

Robert John Tobin ( born December 20, 1983 in Lincoln ) is an English athlete who won the 2007 bronze medal in the 400 - meter race at the European Indoor Championships. With the British 4 x 400 - meter relay, he stood in all major championships at least once in the final.

Tobin first met at the 2005 World Championships in appearance, when he reached the semi-final over 400 meters. With the British season he took fourth place in the final. In March 2006, the Commonwealth Games were held in Melbourne. The next day won the British squadron with Tobin as first runner and Dale Garland, Philip Taylor and Steven Green in front of the squadrons from Russia and Poland, where the British benefited from the fact that the first-placed German team was disqualified because of a jostle. At the 2007 World Championships Tobin ran with the British squadron to sixth place.

With a fifth place for the British relay at the World Indoor Championships in 2008, the Olympic year started a little full of promise for the British squadron at the Olympic Games in 2008, the squadron reached the fourth place, with only the victorious U.S. squadron was both contests against the British. At the 2009 World Championships Tobin came once again to the individual competition, but resigned four years ago from the semi-finals.
