Roberto Sensini

Roberto Néstor Sensini ( born October 12, 1966 in Arroyo Seco, Santa Fe ) is a former Argentine football player and current coach.

Career

Association

Sensini began his career in 1986 at Newell 's Old Boys from Rosario. With the Old Boys Sensini was already a year later Argentine football champion. For the 1989/90 season he moved to Italy to Udinese Calcio. In 1994, Sensini to AC Parma. With Parma, he won three titles: Twice the UEFA Cup (1995 and 1999) and the Coppa Italia (1999). For the 1999/2000 season he signed for Lazio. With Lazio Sensini was in the same season by Italian masters. In 2001 he moved back to AC Parma. 2002 won Sensini again with Parma the Coppa Italia. 2002 Sensini hired again at Udinese, where he ended his career in 2006.

National

Sensini denied 1987-2002 also 59 games for the Argentine national team and took with him part in the Football World Cup 1990, 1994 and 1998. In the 1990 World Cup he fouled Rudi Völler in the penalty area, and causes the decisive penalty. He also won the " gauchos " at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the silver medal.

Coach

Between 10 February and 20 March 2006 Sensini worked for a time as player-coach at Udinese. In 2007 he was coach of Estudiantes de La Plata. In 2009 he took over as coach at his hometown club, Newell's Old Boys.
