Robertsfors IK

Robertsfors IK is a Swedish football club based in Robertsfors.

History

The club was founded in 1907 under the name Robertsfors gymnastics och Idrottsförening, but changed a short time later the name in Robertsfors IK. The offer of the club was composed in the early days of gymnastics, football and athletics in the summer and in the winter of skiing and ski jumping.

The football team of Robertsfors IK played a long time only unterklassig. In the late 1960s, early 1970s and again in the 1980s, she appeared several times in the fourth division. In 1996 she joined as the winner of Season 4 Västerbotten fünftklassigen Division Södra again in the Viertklassigkeit on. Here, the team established immediately in the front area and - after 1998 as third in the table, the promotion round was just missed - increased in 1999 for the first time on the third league. There they played against relegation and finished the relegation place. After 6:1 - or 5:1 - victories over Matfors IF, however, managed to avoid relegation.

In the following years the team of Robertsfors IK jumped into the front Ligabreich. After 2002 and 2003, respectively, the third place was occupied, she qualified in 2005 after a league reform for the third game as a class newly created Division 1, where they finished second in the inaugural season of the relegation zone in the North Season. As Table seventh they missed in the subsequent season 's re-emergence and sat firmly middle of the fourth division season.
