Robin Cheong

Robin Haeyoun Cheong ( born December 16, 1988 in South Korea ) is a South Korean Taekwondo New Zealand descent that starts in the weight class up to 57 kg.

Cheong trained under coach Jin Keun -oh the power center in Browns Bay, uses before important competitions but also the opportunity to prepare in their home country. She participates in continental competitions since 2006. Cheong managed to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. There, she reached the quarterfinals, but had to retire against the later Olympic gold medalist Lim Su- jeong and came after another defeat in the repechage final standings in seventh place. Middle of 2011, Cheong could qualify with a victory at oceanic Olympic qualifying tournament in Noumea for their second Olympic Games 2012 in London. In the decisive final battle she was already back clear then profited but from a punishment and the disqualification of her opponent.
