Robin tom Rink

Robin tom Rink ( born January 19, 1982 in Münster ( Westphalia ) ) is a German musician and lyricist.

History

After high school, Robin tom Rink left his home town of Münster and moved to Berlin. There he gained his first experiences as a musician and lyricist. In 2007 he moved to Paris, where he wrote his first positively captured by the criticism album The Dilettante, which was released in June 2009. For example, Rolling Stone magazine described a " fabulous, goes straight to your heart debut".

He then played tours and concerts with, among other things Heather Nova, Scott Matthew, Drag The River, Chris Wollard ( Hot Water Music ) and The Ship Thieves, Eleni Mandell and Nigel Harrison ( Blondie ).

Robin tom Rink also writes lyrics for other bands. For example, he wrote some lyrics for the album, Planet, Planet of the Berlin band Elyjah. This album landed in the Visions in sound check issue # 201 at # 3, and in Jahrespoll issue # 202 to # 2 on the post-rock charts.

In 2010 he was invited to the Euro Vision Noorderslag Festival in Groningen.

His music was often compared to that of Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen or Jacques Brel.

Robin tom Rink is married and lives with his wife in Cologne.
