RoboCup
The RoboCup world championships are held every year at different locations. Here, about 2000 scientists and students meet from all over the world in order to pit their teams against each other. During the competitions will take place in parallel a congress, to be replaced with the new scientific findings from the field of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
2006 the parallel World Cup FIFA World Cup held in Germany. In 2012, the teams faced each other in Mexico City.

RoboCup World Championships
RoboCup 2004
The RoboCup 2004 was held from June 27 to July 5 in Lisbon. There were competitions for the first time in class " 3D Simulation".
Particularly successful were Germany and Japan, but also because of the many teams that competed from these countries:
The highlights of this competition was the first of a robot held Penalty ( by vision in the final of the humanoids ) and the fast-paced game of Aibos of the German team that won 5-3 (2-2 ) against the team of the University of Sydney. Also, the Japanese Self- team excited by its precise play in the competitions of the mid -size class paying attention and could the final with 5:1 clearly decide for themselves.
RoboCup 2005
The RoboCup 2005 was held from 13th - 19th July in Osaka. There for the first time were discharged with humanoid robots real games.
RoboCup 2006
The RoboCup 2006 was held from 14th - 20th June in Bremen. The finals were on June 18. The next two days were used for the RoboCup Symposium belonging and were not accessible to the public. The symposium serves the scientific exchange within the RoboCup community.
RoboCup 2007
The RoboCup 2007 was held from 1st to 13th July in Atlanta.
RoboCup 2008
The RoboCup 2008 was held from 14 - 20 July, held in Suzhou. Interim organizational problems could be solved. The issuance of visas, however, was reportedly difficult.
RoboCup 2009
The RoboCup 2009 was held from June 29 to July 5 in Graz.

National (open for foreign teams ) Tournaments
German Open

The German Open is a yearly taking place in Germany since 2001, competing with two focal points, on the one hand an open tournament for international teams in the RoboCup Major Leagues ( students and researchers ) and secondly the national World Cup qualifying tournament for the German RoboCup teams ( students and students).
Dutch Open
Since 2006, the World Championships were held in Germany, there was no German Open this year. As a substitute found in Eindhoven in the Netherlands as part of the RoboLudens ( the playing robots ) from 7 to 9 April, the Dutch Open.
Japan Open
