Rocher, Ardèche

Rocher is a commune with 280 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in Ardèche, in the Rhône -Alpes.

Geography

Rocher is located in southern France in the Massif Central in the Regional Natural Park of Monts d' Ardèche at the Ligne, 96 kilometers southwest of Saint- Étienne, 3.9 kilometers north of Largentière, headquarters of the sub-prefecture of the district, the capital of the canton and the Association of Municipalities Val de Ligne, at an average height of 521 meters above the sea level. Rocher belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Saint Joseph au Pays de Ligne, which is part of the Diocese of Viviers.
