Rocker-Bogie

The Rocker - Bogie system is a suspension, which was used in various Mars rovers. Rocker means something like rocker and refers to the suspension of the wheels. This can compensate for such unevenness in the floor. The two large paddles are connected to the chassis via a differential. This causes the chassis itself, even with large movements of the individual wheels or rockers always relatively little moved. All six wheels are provided with independent motors, may also be obstacles that are higher than a wheel diameter, to be overcome. MSL in the front and rear wheels can be individually also rotated about a vertical axis. Thus, especially in heavy vehicles movements on the site or curves, which would be analogous to a chain driven vehicle otherwise be more easily moved.
