Rodolphe Rubattel

Rodolphe Rubattel ( born September 4, 1896 in Villarzel; † 18 October 1961, in Pully, hometown entitled Villarzel ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP). As he was Federal Minister of Economics and once held the office of president.

Career

He was from 9 April to December 1946 and President of the Government of the Canton of Vaud.

He was elected to the Federal Council on 11 December 1947. On 31 December 1954 he handed over his office after he had announced his resignation on November 1. During his tenure, he stood in front of the Department of Economic Affairs.

He was President in 1954 and Vice President in 1953.

Against his will, was the Rubatteller, a type of wine, named after him.
