Rodrigo Barbosa

Rodrigo Barbosa ( born September 30, 1988 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian racing driver.

Career

After Barbosa started his motorsport career in karting, in 2005 he moved to Formula racing and went to two races of the Brazilian Formula Renault. In 2006, he remained in this championship and finished the season in 19th place overall. In 2007 he moved to North America and was fifth in the Southern Division of the SCCA Formula Atlantic. In the final runoff, competed for the drivers from all divisions, he was ninth.

After a one year break in 2009 Barbosa moved the Indy Lights and entered for ELFF Racing who took part for the first time since 1993 at the racing series to. He finished the season with a tenth place as the best result on the 15th place in the drivers' standings. He was in this season of all pilots who were lined up to each race weekend, which placed the worst. 2010 Barbosa moved to PDM Racing. Barbosa remained in this season of the pilots who competed at every race, the one with the worst overall placement, even though he came in five races in the top ten. His best results were three ninth places. In the Drivers' Championship, he finished twelfth.
