Roger Ashton-Griffiths

Roger Ashton- Griffiths ( born January 19, 1957 in Hertfordshire, England) is a British- Canadian film and theater actor and filmmaker.

Life

Ashton- Griffiths, who has dual citizenship in England and Canada, studied from 1975 to 1978 Musicology at the University of Lancaster and was then engaged from 1979 to 1981 as a singer at the English National Opera. In the 1980s, Ashton- Griffiths was in demand as a theater actor, who was seen at theaters in Colchester, Liverpool, Watford, Southampton and Bristol in pieces such as Sweeney Todd.

Ashton- Griffiths played since 1982 numerous supporting roles in film and television, primarily in British and European productions. Chance he also received roles in Hollywood films, so 2002 Gangs of New York and 2005 in Brothers Grimm. In 2006, he starred in the British television film Samuel Johnson: The Dictionary Man the title role of Dr. Samuel Johnson.

In two short films led Ashton- Griffiths also directed. For his second, three-minute film deflation of 2001 he was able to undertake the now internationally known as an actress Keira Knightley.

Roger Ashton- Griffiths is married to the native Indian Sharmini Thillaimuthu, a studio responsible for the BBC. With her and their two children, he lives in London and Suffolk.
