Roger Young (director)

Roger Young ( born May 13, 1942 in Champaign, Illinois ) is an American film director, screenwriter and producer.

Life and work

His career in film began Roger Young as director for television series in the late 1970s. In 1980 he directed two episodes of the series Magnum, a year later, he turned with his first television film Bitter Harvest, a role assumed Ron Howard. The film was nominated for four Emmys, including Young for Best Director. This was followed by numerous other television productions. From 1978 to 1982 he served as director for a total of 14 episodes of the series Lou Grant, 1980, he was awarded an Emmy for this. He was also involved as associate producer on the series. One of his best-known film is the film of the novel agent with no name. This film is based on the book The Bourne Identity Robert Ludlum of the author. His debut as a screenwriter was Young in 1991 with the film The drug cop, he also staged as a director. From the mid 1990s he was involved as a director of several films Bible, 1995, he turned to the Bible - Joseph his first contribution to this major project in 1994 with the film The Bible - Genesis began. During this time he also acted again as a screenwriter.
