Rogity

Rogity ( German Regitten ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It is located in the district of Braniewo ( Brown Mountain ) and forms a mayor's office (Polish: sołectwo ) within the Gmina (Town ) Braniewo ( Brown Mountain ).

Geographical location

Rogity is located three kilometers east of the former county town and today Powiathauptstadt Braniewo ( Brown Mountain ) and can be reached from there on a side road. Until the departure Maciejewo ( Mater courtyards ) of the Polish expressway S22 ( former Berlinka ) of Elbląg ( Elbing ) to the border crossing Grzechotki / Mamonowo II ( to continue the journey on the Russian trunk road R 516 to Kaliningrad (Königsberg ) ) on Świętochowo ( sun chair), there are six kilometers.

The nearest train station is Braniewo with the railways of Malbork ( Marienburg) by Mamonowo ( Heiligenbeil ) and Kaliningrad (the part of the former Prussian Eastern Railway ) and Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ) / Gutkowo ( Göttkendorf ) about Orneta ( Wormditt ) to Braniewo.

History

The East Prussian village called until 1945 Regitten 1874 at the newly established District Schill Gehnen (now Polish: Szyleny ) incorporated, who was one of Brown Mountain in the district of the Prussian province of East Prussia, Königsberg until 1945. At the time Noble Regitten was between good Regitten, from the early 20th century called, and the rural community differed Regitten. It lived in 1910 in Noble Regitten 246 in Regitten only 122 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928, the Gutsbezirk nobleman Regitten was incorporated Regitten in the rural community. The population was Regittens 1933 400 and rose to 1939 on 435

As a result of the Second World War came Regitten to Poland and received the Polish name " Rogity ". Today the village is a seat Schulz ministry in the rural community Braniewo ( Brown Mountain ) in the powiat Braniewski the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998 Elbląg Voivodeship ( Elbing ) ).

Church

Ecclesiastical Regitten belonged until 1945 to the Catholic parish Brown Mountain ( Braniewo ) in the diocese of Warmia and to the evangelical parish Brown Mountain / Old Passarge ( Braniewo / Stara Pasłęka ) in the parish of Brown Mountain in the province of East Prussia Church of the Church of the Old Prussian Union. The Church's relationship after Braniewo is Catholic side remained, the evangelical church members now belong to the Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Mazury in Poland.
