Rok Flander

Rok Flander ( born June 26, 1979 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian snowboarders. He specializes in the alpine disciplines parallel giant slalom and parallel slalom.

His career began Flander in the 2000 /01 season. In the first year he took part in both competitions of the FIS and the ( dissolved in 2002 ) ISF. In the FIS Snowboard World Cup was initially not very successful until the end of 2005, it was only two rankings in the top ten.

The following year, he was able to increase its performance significantly. At the Olympic Winter Games in 2006 he drove in the parallel giant slalom to seventh place, in October 2006, he reached for the first time in Soelden podium and on 13 December 2006, he won in San Vigilio di Marebbe his first World Cup race.

He celebrated his biggest success at the 2007 World Cup in Arosa, as he gave the two-time Olympic champion Philipp Schoch defeated in the finals of the parallel giant slalom and won the gold medal. A day later, he finished third in the parallel slalom.
