Rolampont

Rolampont is a commune in the Haute- Marne Champagne -Ardenne region. In 1593 the municipality of inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) to 49.1 km ². The municipality belongs to the district of Langres and is the most populous municipality in the Canton of Neuilly- l'Évêque. The municipality still include in addition to the nucleus the villages Charmoilles, Lannes and Tronchoy.

Geography and transport

Rolampont located at the northern edge of the plateau of Langres, about 10.5 kilometers north-northwest of Langres and about 21 km south-southeast of Chaumont. The community has a connection to the Autoroute A31 (junction 7 " Langres - North "). In addition, the former National Road N19 Paris Belfort is through the village; since 2006 is the relevant section between Chaumont and Langres redirected to a secondary road with the number 619 by the municipality shall also undertake the railway line Paris -Mulhouse, the train station, however, is shut down. A key lock system of the Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne is located in the resort.
