Roland Teichmann

Roland Teichmann ( born April 19, 1970 in Salzburg) is at the head of the Austrian Film Institute since May 2004. On April 5, 2013 his term was extended for the third time in 2019. The trained lawyer was Managing Director of the Association of Audiovisual and film industry in the Economic Chamber Austria.

Curriculum vitae

Roland Teichmann leads since May 2004, the Austrian Film Institute. After initially studying history, political science and anthropology at the University of Innsbruck was followed by a law degree at the University of Vienna.

The end of 1999 marked the entry into the Chamber of Commerce Austria as a lawyer in the field of industry. 2001 he was appointed Managing Director of the Association of Audiovisual and film industry in the Austria Economic Chamber, the statutory representative of the total Austrian film and music industry, followed by his appointment to the director of the Austrian Film Institute.
